BUSINESS DESIGN, BY DESIGN

Ready to disrupt the ordinary?

For over 20 years, I’ve been aligning business strategy with human-centred, purpose-driven design—curious about what’s next and experienced in making it actionable. As a Business Designer, my consulting work has supported multi-million dollar outcomes across sectors: from securing $3M in funding to support underrepresented foodpreneurs in the GTA, to designing national campaigns for Canadian federal ministries like DND and ESDC. I’ve led ecosystem research, brand overhauls, curriculum development, and organizational strategy for clients ranging from emerging B-Corps to academic think tanks and national advocacy organizations. My approach isn’t just about strategy—it’s about integrating every piece so that outcomes are both inevitable and impactful.

Designing with purpose, not just process

I started my career as a business analyst, questioning assumptions and refusing to settle for superficial fixes. When everyone else saw “design thinking” as a new trend, I saw it as common sense—just with new language. My approach has always been about breaking down silos, challenging the business as usual mentality, and starting with one powerful question: To what end?

Rather than offering cookie-cutter solutions, I partner with clients to deeply understand their goals—spanning strategy, marketing, operations, digital ecosystems, and brand storytelling. This isn’t about launching a website or chasing trends on social. It’s about designing an integrated experience where systems, teams, and touchpoints work in harmony—and with intention.

Collaboration without compromise

I don’t silo change into departments or reduce strategy to buzzwords. I treat business as a living system—bringing the analytical rigour of my early training and the creative depth of a designer to every collaboration. Working alongside your internal experts, we co-create solutions that are both visionary and practical, always rooted in impact and aligned with your purpose.

If you can’t make a venn, is it really even a thing?

Are you ready to think differently?

This approach might feel unconventional, even uncomfortable. If you’re looking to transcend the typical, to push past what’s safe, and to make an impact that resonates across your organization, customers and community, let’s get to work eating the elephant — and that starts with putting all the elephants on the table.

Drop me a line, and let’s start designing with impact.

Practitioner in Flourishing Business Model Design (FBMD)

Completed in 2024 and led by Flourishing Startups, EIT-Climate-KIC and Social Innovation at Georgian College. FBMD expands on the traditional business model canvas and considers social, environmental and financial considerations to design business models that enable the possibility for human and all other life on our planet to flourish for future generations. The approach is a deep dive into early-stage business design, supported by the Flourishing Startup Method (FSM) using the Flourishing Business Canvas (FBC) and underpinned by the Flourishing Competency Model.
